Hi Guys,
Tonight we will be drilling a mount escape that results in your opponent ending up in your guard, I really like this escape as it is allows you to attack your opponent as soon as you escape, instead of with the other Mount escape I showed you where you end up in your opponents guard.
I also want to drill a super effective guard pass that Arlans showed me last night, for me the big benefit of this guard pass is that it allows you to effectively secure your opponent through out the technique, therefore allowing you to take your time and let them burn energy as they struggle to escape.
I also want to revisit the two basic guard passes we have previously discussed, the more we do it the more fluid they will be.
I will be drilling these techniques individually and also in a sequence, starting from mount, the person on the bottom escapes and then then the person on top passes the guard.
We will also be continuing to get comfortable with takedowns, which in my opinion as the biggest challenge for non judo and non wrestling students (like me), and for this reason, if you can crack a few techniques, the biggest advantage you can have.
See you tonight at 7.30pm
